This ones going to be extra exciting as they have swing dancers on the Saturday from 12pm and a vintage hair and make-up specialist. We're trading both days so come and see us.

Next up were in Cambridge with Judys affordable Vintage Fair. We were regulars when they had the did the monthly market at spitalfields so we're really looking forward to trading outside London with them!

Around my home

Like most vintage traders i know i started out selling the overspill from my personal collection. Each week i will show you some of my favorite pieces and tell you a bit about them. Starting with these onion pots. They have no real value but i love them. There's quite a few scattered around the house. These guys i use to keep my jewelery in.
I also have celery vases which i use for flowers.

Spotlight on: Gplan

First post in what i hope will be an regular series on some of my favorite pieces i have in stock. First up is this Gplan corner unit. What i love about it is that it looks like a standard corner unit but its really a writing desk!

Both of the above pictures are from this brilliant resource Real useful when it comes to identifying gplan models
This corner unit or "G-Plan corner secretaire" is from the first G plan range produced by E Gomme Ltd.  The range called Brandon, was produced to enable the British public to buy piece by piece (as lines were available for many years) instead of buying a whole suite as was the norm. Pieces were available in light oak and a mid-oak. I love the simplicity of the Brandon range and would go as far as saying its my favorite of all!
Heres a couple of shots of the corner unit "in situ" at the emporium.

The all important g-plan mark. This mark was used 1952- 1965

New Stock

Busy day buying yesterday then lugging 16 kilo's of vintage across London on public transport. Who said this job was easy! Before anything goes on the rails it needs cleaning, steaming and sometimes a good wash. Heres a sneak peek of some of the items i have ready for next weekends North London Vintage market

New Stock

I've been busy sourcing some new stock for my 2 units in the Fleetville Vintage Emporium and Ballitos Vintage marketplace in St. Albans. Here's a sneak peek

Loving this Industrial metal index filing draw. Would look great in a retro office.

My daughters face lit up when she saw this one! She's already got something similar at home so this one will be taken down to the emporium when i do my shift at the weekend.

Loved this vintage deckchair which came from a hotel. I've tested it and its comfy! plus it comes with add on foot-rest.
Im a sucker for a vintage case and this one is good quality with leather trim and handle all in good condition and it has original travel stickers on.

All change at Fleetville vintage emporium

We've been rather busy recently moving units at the Fleetville Vintage Emporium
We've moved closer to the front of the shop in one of the middle units. As this unit is slightly bigger we've been able to cram in more stock!
